Dan Rodriguez has 26 years of experience managing industrial service projects, writing technical reports, and performing industrial inspections for a varied base of national and international clients. He has managed small and large projects from start to finish for a variety of clients, including those in the steel, mining, paper, manufacturing and petrochemical industries. He is experienced in construction field management and monitoring of new construction and repair efforts on existing tanks, vessels, piping and structures. This experience has made him very familiar with the following guidelines and standards, API 650, API 653, API 570, AISC, AWS, and UBC. Dan also owned and operated a structural inspection business for five years.

Providing daily critical structure inspections at different facilities in the mining, petrochemical, and paper industries as owner, structural inspector, and technical report writer of Structural Services, Inc. in Eveleth, Minnesota. Managed the day-to-day activities of the company, coordinated with customers, and prepared formal reports and AutoCAD drawings for the inspected items.
Served as senior project manager, structural inspector, and technical report writer for Barr Engineering's Hibbing, Minnesota office. Performed critical structures inspections for the mining, petrochemical and paper industries. Prepared formal reports and generated AutoCAD drawings for the inspected items.
Managed and performed daily critical structure inspections at U.S. Steel for an engineering firm in Virginia, Minnesota. Prepared formal reports and generated AutoCAD drawings for the inspected items. Successfully managed over $1.1 million in inspection projects.
Served as supervisor, inspector, and technical report writer for an engineering firm in Richmond, Virginia. Supervised and assisted four inspectors during the implementation of tank integrity and process safety management programs for clients from Maine to Venezuela, including the island of St. Lucia. This included tank, vessel, piping, and water tower inspections for the petrochemical and paper industries and numerous municipalities, using all applicable standards as guidelines.
Performed structural, concrete, masonry, piping, vessel, and tank inspections for the steel and petrochemical industries in northern Indiana and southern Illinois for an engineering firm in Whiting, Indiana. Successfully managed over $1.3 million in inspection projects for U.S. Steel in Indiana and Minnesota. Supervised and assisted five inspectors during implementation of critical structures and process safety management programs. Also served as a structural steel detailer.
Served as manager of the testing and inspection department for a firm in Fresno, California. Department consisted of seven office personnel and 22 field technicians. Reviewed and wrote formal reports on all information obtained during field inspections on soil, masonry, and steel. Coordinated current and future projects with clients. Ensured that all disciplines complied with city and state building codes.
Served as purchasing agent and structural steel detailer for a steel company in Lubbock, Texas. Reviewed architectural drawings and purchased all finished products needed for the individual projects. Worked with different manufacturers for the purchase and coordination of delivery dates.
