Production / Business Manager
Dean Weiberg has over twenty years in heavy industry with experience in operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, project management, and finance. This includes:
- Seven years senior management experience in mining focused on designing and implementing maintenance and reliability systems.
- Responsible for budget development, presenting, and executing annual budgets.
- Ten years of project management experience consisting of fixed plant and mining production equipment as well as new construction.
- Ten years of experience in negotiating with union officials, contractors, and governing agencies.
In addition to the mining industry, he has also served over ten years on the Board of Directors of a local financial institution with the past seven years as the board chair. The Board of Directors consists of elected members of the credit union and provides governance, sets policies and provides the strategic direction for the credit union. The Board is ultimately accountable to the government agencies for the performance of the credit union. Serving as the board's chair for the past seven years has provided him with a strong understanding of the financial industry.
Dean graduated from The College of Saint Scholastica in 2004 with a Master's Degree in Management, 2003 Bachelor's degree with a business emphasis, and 1987 Associate's degree in Marketing Management from Mesabi Community College.
